This page links to the main Vulcan user guides.
-
Setting up: Logging in, setting up the workspace, getting support
-
Geometry: Entry of dwelling inputs, SAP import/comparison, thermal bridge proposal and validation, and selection of a defaults file
-
Fabric calculators reference: How assembly, ground-floor U-value, and unheated-space thermal resistance calculators work (standards, formulas, defaults)
-
Calculate: Selection of inputs, attaching evidence, and viewing ECaaS status and headline metrics
-
Scenarios: Defining batch model parameters, using the Sample Parameter Library, and running simulations
-
Results: Aggregating, graphing, and exporting metrics from output files
Vulcan also includes some experimental functionality. These features should be used with caution and outputs should be checked carefully:
-
Create SAP XML: In Scenarios, users can toggle creation of a SAP10 XML. This is separate from SAP PDF/XML import and comparison in Geometry. SAP XML outputs should be checked carefully before use.
-
MCP server: Use selected Vulcan functions directly with local scripts or agents. This can be accessed via the Integrations menu in the Profile dropdown.
-
IFC file imports: Use files from CAD tools within Vulcan. This is an option in the Files dropdown in the Build Geometry tab.
